I have been away for a few days.
My 22-year-old son, Jamie, passed away on Saturday. His father and I were by his side.
On Wednesday, we had a private viewing for him. It was heartbreaking to see my baby boy for the last time. But the room was filled with so much love. Filled with friends and family who loved Jamie and who offered one another hugs and words of peace, prayer, memories, and love. Thank you to everyone who attended.
Jamie’s obituary was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write and can be found here.
Here is a video of Jamie playing Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata – 1st Movement that his father found online and that we were not aware existed. He taught himself to play. Notice the lack of sheet music. He was so very talented.
Jen, I am new to the Writing site. I just happen to come across your name and clicked on your website. I saw the message about your son. I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my daughter to a brain tumor in August of 2001. She was 10 1/2 years old. No matter the age, it is hard to loose your child. Hugs from a Mom who knows.
